Have you ever had problems concentrating?
Have you ever had issues with self-discipline?
Well, guess what. I've found a cure. And it works.
The thing is... Your body goes wherever you send your mind to. Do you believe it? Well; where are you? In front of your computer, laptop, phone... reading this. Well, of course, this is a very simple example. Let's review some other situations where the same holds true...
Stand up from the computer; walk across the room you are in and as you walk, start thinking of something. Anything. See something; and start thinking about it. For example, the dishes that need to be washed.
Allow your mind to go there and your body might follow.
Soon after you find yourself doing the dishes. Or if not; at least you won't be doing anything else too, unless you start thinking of something else. Walk around the room more. And think of something else.
Your ex, for example. Allow yourself to think about her.
Guess what? Soon after, you start feeling sad. Or maybe angry. Depends on how that makes you feel. Depending on how the thought makes you feel. But it's the thought - you see, not the reality itself. So again... your body follows your thoughts. And it works in so many cases. Either the body will follow (you will do the thing you are thinking of - going to the washroom, cleaning around the house, talking to your kids... whatever it is); or what is worse,
If you can not do the thing you are thinking of at the moment; you'll become trapped. In your train of thoughts.
You'll lose time - a minute, two, ten - thinking of something, feeling as if you were there, wanting to do it, wallowing if it's in the past, dreaming if it's in the future, or planning if it can be done, but just not right away. And by doing so, guess what happens? That's right.
You lose valuable time. So, what to do?
Well, what I've found works best and every time is... Only (at least, mostly) allow your thoughts to go to the things that can be done right now, unless you are planning your schedule on purpose, or, OK, you've intentionally let yourself daydream for a bit. But at all other times, just
Consciously drive your thoughts to the object you are at; at the moment.
And you'll find it a ton more easier to concentrate, not get "carried away"; work, play. Do whatever you want, right now.
Because "getting carried away" actually means just that. Letting your thoughts go at a topic not based in the "right now".
And now you know how to not let that happen, right?

Your body goes wherever you direct your mind

How to approach a stranger - it's so simple, finally...
Approach anxiety, they call it. And we've all experienced it, if you let me generalize on that one.
Yep. You see her, you "like" her on deep within yourself and know you'd Love to talk to her. But what to do? Or you see him. Yes! As interesting as it is, this can happen quite as often to women; not just to men.
And it gets strange. And weird, and confusing. And you sit and think and well... do not know what to do. Some of us have read some books, forums, posts or even attended seminars. Some of us have heard of the "three second rule", where you are supposed to approach that person right away.
There is even a great book about it, just for the ones like us.
Fine! But well... Still. It's not as easy as it sounds. When you read about it in a forum or a blog; it's like "Yeah, I can do that. But of course" - and then, again, because your mindset changes in that situation where you want to make an approach; you are thinking differently - and finding yourself unable to act on many occasions.
So what to do? Aha!
Think about the end of your life.
Sounds weird? Fine. But still, bear with me here. Try it right now, even though there isn't probably a hot person around you that you want to meet at this very moment. Think about how life is not endless. Think about the darkness, about the complete silence, there is no past, no future, one day, when the end comes. Really. Imagine it.
I don't want to psyche you out, you know. Just imagine it in full - take about a minute for that.
...
Ready? Now think that even that day will come, today you are alive! How great it feels? It's like getting back the gift of being alive, right? Now... do you feel that rush? If that special he, or she, was there in sight, would've you been able to approach it right away?
That's it. Next time, when you want to meet a stranger, think about the end for a bit. Not more than a minute, hey! We don't want you sitting there forever : ) Just imagine it... and than from that mindset; from that point of view - think - so what? I can approach or not now; and whatever I do - one day it will all be over; so what does it matter what I do today?
And just go.
Because we live once. And are alive. Today.

Can the love for a stuffed animal be real? What is "real" anyway?
Can the love for a stuffed animal be considered "real"? Well, "what is real", we shall ask ourselves; and what is "reality"?
Only the love for a person can be real - some will say. And yes, it's easy to stand that ground - as, if not a real person, how can "it" be loved?
And then the whole conversation about the Soul will arise.
Ok, then. Does a stuffed animal have a soul? You decide. That's the ultimate truth, and the ultimate answer. Since-what is real-is all also up to us. Real - is what we believe in.
And the fluffy sad dog from the picture? Well, it is simply an example. As you saw it, what it meant to you, instantly? To some it might be just a picture. To others - a "cute dog", to someone else it could remind of some unpleasant memory... To me? Well, it's all personal, as is what is "real".
But, I'll share. To me, this is the cute sad dog, as I call it-I saw it on my way home when I stopped to refuel my motorcycle. It was sitting on the refrigerator in the store-and I thought-I shall go there again when I have the forty bucks it costs and "save" it. I went through that same gas station four more times, but never "saved" the dog. I, now, have this idea that once I save it, I'll bring it home and as it starts a new life on my bed, it will turn to a happy dog. With a history.
Hmmm... A history. Yep! That's it. We can basically love anything that we attach an emotional value to. So... Is the love for a stuffed animal a real one?
